WHAT IS RENOWN!?

If you open a character profile on The Arena’s website, you’ll notice a few additions. The MOST IMPORTANT one is the RENOWN section.
WHAT EXACTLY IS IT?
Renown is the total of all the points your Migory character earns on the battlefield. These points are currently stored in The Arena. At the end of Season One—the game you’re playing right now—they will go on-chain with your character.
DOES RENOWN COUNT FOR ANYTHING?
Yes! Renown is your character’s history of activity. The more you build it, the better your chances of advancing into the next phases.
WHAT IF I BOUGHT A CHARACTER THAT HAS ZERO RENOWN POINTS?
It depends on when you buy that character, but in most cases you’ll still be able to build its Renown, even if you’re late to the party.
Where low or zero Renown could have an impact is the price. A seller may have to accept a lower price if buyers prefer characters with higher Renown to unlock future features in the project’s timeline. That’s the “penalty” I mean—not an actual fee or penalty imposed by the project.
SO WHAT SHOULD I DO TO KEEP INCREASING THE VALUE OF MY MIGORY COLLECTIBLE!?
Keep sending it into battle! For now, that’s the only way to keep increasing its Renown each week. If your character doesn’t fight, it won’t earn any points.
Also, if you send your character into battle and then transfer it to another wallet or list it on a marketplace, the Renown points earned that week will disappear.
WHEN WILL RENOWN GO ON-CHAIN?
As soon as Season One ends, after the initial 13 weeks. For now, we’re keeping all those points in our Migory database, so don’t let them pass you by!
